The mission was difficult, they were in a bad situation and the enemies wouldn't take long to find their position.
Konoha sent some shinobis to rescue villagers from a little village not so far from Suna who were missing. They discovered they were abducted for experiences and slavery. So the 6th Hokage Kakashi sent some ninjas pretty different from each other to ensure the safety of everyone.
In that case, Sakura was part of the team chosen as the head of the medics, alongside with Natsu and Ayana, both of them being there for other purposes as well.
Shikamaru was the leader and took with him Naruto, Neji and Kiba. They had to be a small group to avoid being easily caught.
Lord 6th wanted a group able to reassure the villagers and guide them into safety without any problems. That's why he asked for Natsu.
They didn't take long to find the villagers with Neji's Byakugan and Akamaru and Kiba's sense of smell. The rescuing part was more problematic since they were way more than before. Everyone had to be in sight and framed. Shikamaru dispatched his mates around the people to cover them.
Unfortunatly, being that big wasn't safe.
They had to engage the fight to get everyone out and some of'em got wounded.
Most of the villagers were already pretty weak and injured as well and they had to go through the desert to have a chance to escape. It was a bright day and the sun was then already very strong.
Even the wind couldn't cool them a bit.
They managed to take some advance but not enough to be out of danger.
After crossing a part of the desert, they found a cave to hide for a bit, to rest and protect them from the sand and the sun. They were exhausted and Konoha's shinobis had to find out how they would reach Suna without problems.
Sakura was already healing the most wounded and tired villagers but she wouldn't be able to do it for everyone, neither Ayana or Natsu. They were too many and running out of time!
Suddenly, Natsu got an idea but she needed help.
So she turned to Ayana Genji, the impressive blue haired girl she met once in Konoha, hoping she would agree with her idea.
— Ayana-san! Please help me! she said strongly. We can heal everyone together!
The Water Queen -as Natsu likes to call her in her mind- turned her head to the Red Siren, intrigued by the proposition.
— What do you need? She asked, getting up from the rock she was on.
— Can you create enough water to split it up into everyone's position? She requested, turning herself to Sakura next. If you could lend me your chakra, we could actually heal everyone and give them back their strength.
Processing the idea, Sakura got up and went behind Natsu and put her hands on her back, ready to inject her chakra, knowing that healing all these people would be heavily demanding in chakra.
Ayana nodded and closed her eyes to start creating water around her, sending it above everyone's chest. For the second time, Natsu caught herself thinking about how elegant the blue haired girl was. She was still a bit nervous about her, Ayana being pretty clear about her feelings on Orochimaru and his pairs. They weren't close and working together was some sort of challenge for them. But the mission was pretty important and they actually got along until now and the red head was hoping it would last for a moment.
But now, healing and getting everyone out of danger was their priority and that's why she asked Ayana's help. She knew how strong they could be joining their power.
So when everyone had their portion of water, Natsu started her own Jutsu, hereditaded from her mother and improved with Kabuto's Regeneration techniques.
The same Jutsu she used to save Neji from death.
It was already hard for her to use it for such injury but with so many people, it would be even more greedy and difficult for her own body.
The water above everyone started to move and go closer to the bodies to reach their skin and the water inside them. That's how it started to trigger the healing process of everyone.
Kiba and Akamaru were looking pretty bad but even for them, the water was doing its job while Shikamaru was thinking of a plan to get them out of there.
Naruto and Neji were on watch at the entrance of the cave, ready to warn all of them if any suspicious thing would show up. They all got to see again and more attentively Natsu doing her Jutsu. It was impressive yet confusing.
With her hands joined after the different signs she had to use, Natsu put all she could into it to be sure everyone would be healed enough to move afterward.
After a few minutes, she was already showing signs of tiredness. She never had to heal so many people, even with the improvement she had from Kabuto and Orochimaru, it was still difficult and she actually started to think she wouldn't be able to succeed perfectly.
No, that wasn't an option.
She had to put everyone back on their legs! So the Red Siren decided to use her Cursed Mark to give her more power, even if she didn't want to use it anymore.
The first step of her Water mark was some droplets going through her body until it covers it up entirely. Her skin became darker as well as her hair, growing it up. As the other seals, she had her body changed, having some kind of fish tail growing in her back and a black mark on her face. Her eyes changed color, going from an azure blue iris to a gold one.
Even her face became different, having a harsh expression.
Yes, Orochimaru really used her as much as he could...
They all knew she had the cursed mark by now but not everyone actually saw it before.
So Shikamaru, Kiba, Naruto and Ayana were pretty surprised when they saw her transformation into one of Orochimaru's monster, like Sasuke before.
Neji was part of the few people who actually saw her like this before with Sakura. They didn't expect to see it now but if it was helpful, they wouldn't say a thing.
Natsu didn't want to but she didn't want to take all Sakura's chakra either so she choosed to be in the spotlight. To stop hiding herself and who she was just to pretend to be part of everyone's team. She won't be speechless anymore.
Now she had the power to heal everyone. With her new amount of chakra, she changed her technique, transforming her Suiton Jutsu into something else.
She was going directly in using people's blood. She never liked this power of her but it was kind of necessary right now. She'll deal with the others thoughts later.
She kept Ayana's water to increase the power of efficiency, even if it would take all her energy.
In no time, everyone was already recovering, having back their strength and no more wounds!
Kiba and Akamaru were back on their legs, ready to go as well as the other shinobis.
The sensation wasn't very likeable but at least, everyone got healed way faster than normally.
Neither Neji or Sakura were a big fan of this as they knew how much it could cost for the Red Head but they also knew it was unbelievably efficient.
When Natsu stoppped everything after being sure everyone was perfectly healed, she just collapsed, right to the floor, exhausted, breathless, having back her normal appearance.
After some seconds, she tried to get up but couldn't succeed. She fainted into Sakura's arms after whispering a few words.
— Thank you, Ayana-sa-...
The Blue haired Genji was still a bit confused. She didn't know what to think about her.
Or what happened. Or simply the Jutsu Natsu used at first. It was nothing commun and she knew it wasn't something the others saw besides Sakura and Neji. It was intriguing.
Her thoughts were brutally interrupted with Shikamaru's intervention, getting everyone up to move quickly.
They were still in threat!
Neji, who was worried, went to Sakura to carry Natsu in his arms.
— What do you think you're doing? ... He whispered to his girl. The little boy will need a mom when we finish the adoption's papers.
People took their things and started to go back on the sand to reach Suna.
They would finally be out of danger! Thanks to the girls who healed them all.
They were still in advance from their ennemies, probably due to the sand, vividly moving and covering their trail.
They would reach the Sand village in no time; safe.
